KPN
Thanks to the broad solution-oriented approach, Babbage has been able to realize several (digital) accessible workplaces for the visually impaired at KPN (One of the largest telecom companies in The Netherlands, +/- 11.000 employees). Partly thanks to a number of successful projects, KPN has become convinced that Babbage can make KPN’s workplaces accessible using ACCESS4U’s solutions.
Progressive diversity and inclusion policy
An HR manager at KPN: “Since 2010, we have had a progressive diversity and inclusion policy in which we strive to hire more employees with various disabilities to work at KPN. For example, we notice that people with a visual impairment can perform well in our organization with the correct assistive technology, training and guidance. In the past, various resource providers have already referred to the workplaces within the various contact centers that may occur. We therefore want Babbage to continue to support us in creating new accessible workplaces and support the current workplace in order to sustain our progressive diversity and inclusion policy.”
More workplaces
It is expected that in the near future more workplaces will be created for people with a distance to the labor market within KPN. Various position has become accessible for the target group such as customer experts, IT employees, helpdesk employees, technical support employees, etc.
Marko Molenaar is one of KPN’s employees with whom Babbage has set up Marko’s workplace at KPN. Read his story here (Dutch).
